Clicks not always registering iPad2->MacbookPro

Postby sethrr@aol.com » Tue May 24, 2011 12:57 pm

It's strange but I am finding that I can only click on certain areas of the screen.
I am using an iPad2 to a Macbook Pro, but I am running WinXP using Parallels.
The software I am running in XP is called GrandMAonPC, it's lighting software.
Clicks work as expected on the Mac itself.
Here is a screenshot I have marked up. I'm not sure what to do.
Admittedly I have not spent any time trying other programs and seeing if they click correctly thru Remoter.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I just tried this use-case on my Parallels 6 installation with a Windows 7 virtual machine, and clicks registered over the whole desktop. I wonder if this is an issue with the version of Parallels you're running.

I have updated to Paralells 6 and i still have the same issue.
I have also tried running in Bootcamp with UltraVNc with the same results.
I am not running win7 but running winxp.
Still finding that clicks are unreliable only on certain regions of the screen. Sometimes clicking multiple times quickly will work but is very unreliable.
Any more thoughts?

-Does this happen when clicking on the desktop, or any app. Or is it just specific to the GrandMAonPC application?
-Are you tapping directly, or using the virtual trackpad? (do both exhibit the same issue?)

Thanks,
Raf.

I would say yes to both questions.
I have tried clicking on other things besides GrandMA PC and I still get unreliable clicks. Tried with both Parallels, OS X, and WinXP. All on the same machine.
This includes the macro buttons at the bottom of Remoter for clicking.
I have tried both the finger clicking and using the virtual mousepad.
It almost seems to me like the center of the screen is reading clicks correctly, but the side 1/3 each way does not.

I'm sorry to say I don't have an answer for you right now. I haven't experienced this issue, and this is the first I hear of anybody reporting something like this.
But I do want to help, so please help me recreate your situation, so I can work on it.
More questions: -when you the "no clicking". Do you see the visual feedback on click?
-You say this happens with both: "Parallels, OS X" and WinXP. So this means this only happens to you when connecting to a windows machine? Does it happen if you connect directly to your Mac?
-What's your resolution, color depth. Do you find these elements matter?

Thank,

Raf.
