Why are you entering your IP address in the VNC Username field?
Is that the IP address of the machine you want to connect to? Could you enter that in the "VNC Hostname" field to see if that helps?

Do you have your firewall on? (System Preferences - Security - Firewall). If so, try turning it off as a test.

Ignore the IP. That was removed and the problem still exists. Also, I have checked my firewall and access is set to allow connections

The message indicates that your iPhone device can't establish a connection to your computer using the hostname "Tonys-Macbook.local." for some reason. Could you try replacing this under VNC Hostname with the actual IP address of your computer? (192.168.1.43 is it?)

Could it be that you're attempting to connect to your computer from outside the network where this computer is? If this is the case, you cannot use a local connection like the one you have defined, and you will need to use your public IP address, and also open port 5900 in your router.

Please make sure the iPhone is connected to the same WiFi Access point as the computer.

This is very strange. I'll send you a PM with instructions on how to send me the log file.
