Passcode protection

Passcode protection

Postby guardian_de » Sun Jan 09, 2011 1:08 pm

Hi,

It is quite tedious to type passwords everytime. But I'm not willing to have Remoter save my passwords so that anyone with physical access to my iOS device has access to my servers.

It would be great to have a simple passcode protection to the whole app or to single connections to at least establish minimal security.

What do you think?

Not a bad idea. I'll add it to the to-do list.

Thank you!

Hi
Is it even possible to not save password in release 2.0. I let kids to play games on the iPad. I won't want them to ssh into a server and start typing random commands :(

Regards

Yes, what you do is leave the VNC Password field empty. Then tap on the Advanced button at the top, and enable the "Request VNC Password" switch. This way, each time you want to connect to the computer, you will be prompted for the password.
