Hello,

Just installed mountain lion on my macs. On snow leo I used my Ipad controling itunes and that worked perfectly.
After the lion installation its getting a bit complicated.
I can control everything perfectly, but when I want to play a movie in itunes the screen shows only white and grey squares. I can only hear the sound. When disconnecting the screensharing over remoter vnc the picture shows upagain. Connecting again lets the picture disapear!
:?:
Why is that?
Can somebody help me?
Playing videos with another program works fine!

Seems the new versions of ARP included in Mountain Lion are at fault here. They're probably sending the video over encoded differently using a proprietary extension to VNC. This problem most likely affects all VNC clients (other than Apple's), not just Remoter. I'll do some more research.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention!,
Raf.

Is there any update on this issue? I'm having the same problem on a late 2012 Mac mini 10.8.2. I just want to use Remoter to control the mini and launch a full screen video to be watched on the tv and still have mouse control on the mini via Remoter. In full screen mode the checkered screen prevents this.
