Sending CMD-V from ext keyboard causes my mac to go insane

I can recreate this all day, but without posting a video, its hard to show:

I can use the CMD keys that I know of just fine, except for CMD-V.

When I hit CMD - V what happens on my iMac is a flurry of things opening, being selected, copied, pasted etc. I could guess about 30 'events' get sent.

I'm using Remoter Fusion 3.4.1 on an Apple iPad 2.

The host computer is an iMac running remoterFusion 0.9.7
