ctrl+<any key> repeats

Hi,

I started using Remoter for the SSH capability, I want to be able to edit files on webservers. I have an iPad2 with a Logitech case-keyboard. I use emacs to edit the files. As you may know, emacs uses lots of ctrl+<key> for commands. When I hit a ctrl+<key> it repeats. For instance ctrl+n moves the cursor down one line, but using Remoter with my iPad and Logitech keyboard the cursor moves down 3 or more lines. Any ideas?

Thanks for the report!, I'll look into it ASAP, and hopefully correct it for 3.4.1 (which I'm planning on submitting this week to correct any issues with 3.4).

cd365, the new release is out now (3.4.1). Is this still happening for you?

Yes, unfortunately. It doubles now though. When I hit the arrow key it moves two spaces. Same with control+keys.

Can you share more info so I can recreate?
-Is this in an SSH session?
-What kind of external keyboard?
-Does this happen when you run a specific app?
-Info about your device: iphone?, ipad?, firmware version?

Sure Raf,

This is an SSH session.

The only app I'm running is Remoter VNC. During the SSH session the only programs I run are BASH and EMACS.
My device is an ipad2. Not sure what firmware is, but I'm using iOS 5.1.

Thank you for all your help. I'm getting this corrected. Expect version 3.4.2 out soon!

I have an Adonit Writer Plus (for new iPad) and the new iPad and I am also getting arrow key repeats.

I have determined that the first time I connect, it functions normally, then once the device goes to sleep and I re-connect, it now issues two keypresses when I press.

I must go and kill the process from iOS task manager (the bar at the bottom) to get it to work correctly again.

Can you confirm that this will be fixed in the next update? Can you give me an ETA on this update?
