Windows VPN Username

Basics

•remoter version ( in app: settings -> help/about ) 3.4.0
•device remoter is installed on ( iPhone 3, iPad 1, etc ) Iphone 3GS
•iOS version ( on device: settings -> general -> about -> Version ) 5.1

Problem Specific
•what type of session (telnet, ssh, etc) VPN Through Remoter fusion
•server specifics (OSX, Linux, Windows, emulation, etc) Windows 7 64 bit

Set up iphone using remoterfusion - downloaded directly from you store on the iphone.
Tried to downloaded that latest version of fusion for my PC

But Windows says:
RemoteFusionWin0.0.2beta.exe might have been moved or deleted

So i downloaded the next to last version:

Which seems a little hinky
Opened Zip file
Ran remotefusion.exe
got a Microsoft .NET Framework error
hit continue
RemoteFusion window opens
Nothing ever appears on the status tab; there are no buttons to push; no radio buttons to select; no right click options
In the Set up Tab I can only select VNC raio button, if I select RDP when click update it swaps back to VNC
I enter Computer Name melynda
I enter my PIN **** not really the dots but you get it
I Register
Under Optional It will not allow me to enter a username
In the Password field I enter my computer's password and click Update

On my iphone I enter
melynda
**** yeah yeah I enter the real PIN
and click Connect
I get the message
Successfully Retrieved and Saved Information From RemoteFusion Server
and click OK
and click Save

Then I return to the main screen and click Start
and it asks for my VNC Username
I have tried
my compter user name
my RemoterFusion user name
my ip address
and every bad name/word i can think of and all I get is....
Disconnected. No host setup in session. So you want to reconnedt?

I have read through pages of forums, printed out and read the"Guides" and watched the videos to no avail. I use VNC for work and love it and thought how nice it would be to use it on my iphone and the ipad I just ordered.. especially when I am away from home.

Can you please help?

Please be sure to download the .NET framework from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... n&id=17851

Not sure why windows is giving you that error, that it can't find the Remoter fusion 0.0.2 installer. Strange.

The computerName and PIN are simply for registering with RemoterFusion, so they can be arbitrary, just make sure to use the same in RF and in Remoter.

The VNC password is the password you entered into ultraVNC (check http://setup.remoterlabs.com if you haven't installed ultraVNC yet).
