The next version of remoter will include 4096 lines of backbuffer (currently limited to 100 lines)

Raf.

All I get are clicks that I imagine are lines passed over but not scrolled.

Each click sound represents a "scroll wheel" event being sent over. In the case of terminal sessions, you should see the buffer scrolling as you scroll (as long as there's something in the scroll back buffer)

If I place the cursor in a window that's larger than the screen and slide my finger across the scroller, nothing happens, only clicks.

If I place the cursor in the scroll bar area and slide my finger across the scroller, nothing happens, only clicks.

Since it's hard to explain, I recorded a short clip, that hopefully is more clear.

After Lunch, I'll remove Remoter VNC and re-download it and see if that helps.

I re-installed Remoter VNC set it up again. Restarted the router and quit and restarted RemoterFusion. Restarted the computer.

Now I keep getting an alert asking to buy RemoterFusion again. SOLVED, repurchased (NC).

Able to connect now But still no Scroller. I'm trying to scroll a Pages document in Lion. With an i5 iMac.

Any clues on what to do next?

Well, this thread was initially about telnet, and now I see you're using Screen Sharing. Still, it applies. Do make sure the mouse cursor is positioned inside the area you're attempting to scroll. Also, remember that scrolling is inverted in Lion (you can reverse using "reverse scrolling" in Remoter Config).

OK. I think I got it:

-You're using RemoterFusion, and a multi-monitor setup, correct?

Yes.

I disconnected the second monitor and the scrolling sort of works. Very slow to respond.
