[Solved - 1.8] - Russian keyboard not typing

I've got a problem in 1.7 version with a russian keyboard typing.
I can't type in any input fields on vnc server devices (win xp sp 3 / realvnc free edition 4.1.3) with russian keyboard. But after switching language in windows it is poosible to type in russian using english keyboard on iPad

Unfortunately, international keyboard support is a very hard problem in VNC, because all servers behave differently in this field. And most actually ignore some characters (like accented characters, etc). I'm doing my best to try to help with the problem, but I'll need your help.
I'm currently working with another user to resolve issues he's having with a German keyboard layout. When we have that ironed out, I'll ask for your help with Russian.

OK, between another user and I, we have the German keyboard working correctly for the most part. Could you please post a picture of your mac russian keyboard, and explain me how to generate the special characters? I'll do my best to have this integrated into the next version of Remoter.

And I cant understand what do you mean with "generate the special characters"? Give the example

Thanks for the picture. What I mean is, how do you generate the Russian characters? Do you simply press the key, or do you need to, for instance press Alt + key? If it is Alt, is it either one or, only the right-Alt.

Yes, just simply press the key.

OK, then how do you get the Roman alphabet, non Russian characters? What about the red characters on the number keys? Just press the number key to get them? How do you get the number then?

To get the roman alphabet on mac? - by switching languages with cmd+space

Red characters on the numbers - by pressing shift and number. On some keys they are not red because of the same values in english and russian keyboard layouts.
Example - In russian keyboard layout (when russian language is active) to get a % symbol you should press shift+4, but when english keyboard is active - by shift+5

OK, thanks for the info. I'll do my best integrating this into 1.8. All except for the language switching, you might have to do that manually.
