Screen View freezing

Computer:
Windows PC running Windows XP
VNC connection
LAN to LAN (computer is on the same network as the iPod)

iPod:
iTouch--3rd gen
Most recent version of Remoter (as of September 2011)
iOS 4.3.5

The remoter app has not been working correctly for me yet. I can connect to my computer, and click on program icons, but then my iPod screen doesn't display the just opened program while the computer does. In a nutshell, all I can see on my iPod is what the screen looked like when I connected, no matter what options I change. I have gone through the options on the computer and iPod and there is nothing blocking the screen refreshing, but obviously something is up. Any help is appreciated ,

Hi strikebogle3x,

This sounds like a problem with your VNC server. What VNC server are you using?
If you're using UltraVNC, please try re-installing, and follow the video closely.

One thing to look at is: right click on the ultravnc icon in the task bar, select properties.
Make sure your properties screen looks like this:
