CTRL key on ext apple bluetooth keyboard not working

My Setup:

Ipad2
Remoter VNC with SSH
Apple Bluetooth Keyboard

I tried ssh'ing to my Linux box..connected fine. However, I cannot seem to use the ctrl key on my keyboard. I do a lot CLI work and the CTRL key is one of the important keys to get around especially when editing. The work around is to click the CTRL button on the tools menu of the app. It would be great if i can just use the one on the BT Keyboard.

BTW, on the app "Remoter Config"
I have Ext Keyboard set to Auto and Direct.

Hi h3m8n,

Unfortunately, Apple doesn't provide direct access to the keyboard; and all special keys are not visible to applications. This prevents Remoter from being able to act on them.
Until Apple opens up access to this, the only work-around will be to use the special keys toolbar on the screen.
