vnc 3g log in problem

hello ref
i am very new to this remote vnc concept and having trouble. when i have the software on my iphone 4 scan through wifi for my mac it does fine the computer and i then type in the in the password and everything goes great... then when i try to log in useing 3g there is something wrong with my host name. im stuck i have tried everything... any idea's

Have you tried the guides? They're available in the forum under Gudes.
Basically, you need to set up your router so it will allow connections from the outside world.
