VNC over SSH Endless Tunneling

Postby DonMegel » Sat Apr 16, 2011 12:15 am

Ive used Remoter to SSH into my linux server without a problem but using the VNC over SSH presents me with the "..Creating Secure Tunnel.." message and it never goes away. I've used TightVNC on my windows machine to do a VNC over SSH connection into the same linux server and it works fine.

Thoughts?

If you're using public key authentication, make sure your private key does not have a pass phrase. Passphrase support will be added in the next version (it's already done).

If that's not it, could you post a screenshot of your session setup?

Thanks,

Raf.

A passphrase? It's just one word.

You can protect your private key with a password, which is called a passphrase. This is done when you create your key. But I see that you're using SSH password, not public-key. So that's not it.

I'd like you to send me the log file from Remoter. Please DM me and I'll tell you how.

Thanks!,

Raf.
