Mountain Lion

Mountain Lion

Postby FrancoBorgo » Fri Oct 12, 2012 8:05 pm

I have a Mac with MacOS X Mountain Lion server, and I user Remoter on an iPhone and an iPad.

My password has some character that I can't seem to be able to do directly on an IOS Keyboard.
I sent it through note and copy and paste it into Remoter configuration.
it used to work perfectly.

I do not used Remoter very often, so I do not know if it stop working when I upgrade from Lion to Mountain Lion or when I update remoter.
I change the password on the Mac without the special character and now it work.

So I do not know if the problem is related to the field not beeing able to take that character anymore
or something else.

Does the VNC password field has some new limitation or validation of character ?

Thank you

No,
Remoter doesn't attempt to do any kind of validation on the password. But there was a bug a couple of versions back that could corrupt passwords with special characters. This has been corrected since, though.

Thanks,
Raf.
