Auto-Reconnect does not work

Postby speedyuy » Thu Sep 13, 2012 5:13 pm

Hi!
I am using Remoter v 3.6.3 on Ipad 2 with iOS 5.1.1.

When I lose the connection to the VNC server (tried with Real VNC and Ultra VNC) I get the prompt "... Do you want to reconnect?".
Even if I select Auto-Reconnect in options it doesn't reconnect automatically, it shows me the option to reconnect. Isn't that the expected behaviour when Auto-Reconnect isn't selected?
I think this is the best feature of Remoter VNC but I can't get it to work properly. Whis this option I would know Remoter is always connected to the server.
I'm sending a screen capture of the reconnection prompt.

Thanks!
Emilio

Remoter only reconnects based under this conditions: (as of 3.8.0)

-The Remoter Config option is on
-A valid disconnect reason for reconnect happened: disconnected by server, time out, lost connection to remoter fusion or unknown
-The time the session was connected was at least 30 seconds (this to prevent rapid reconnect-disconnect cycle)

As long as those options are met, Remoter should try to reconnect.

Thanks Raf!

What do you mean by "Remoter Config option is on"?
It does meet the other two conditions but it doesn't reconnect automatically, it asks to reconnect.

PS I tried the latest 3.8.0 version

I was talking about the auto reconnect option in Remoter Config. But I'm sure you have it on.
I'll be looking into this. Thanks for the feedback!,
Raf.
