Can connect via WiFi but not over 3G

Postby Hollow Earth » Sun Jun 03, 2012 5:24 pm

Can someone help me please?

I can connect to my Mac Desktop Machine running Snow Leopard via my iPone 4 using RemoterFusion over a WiFi network but not over 3G.

I have registered the machine with RemoterFusion (and bought that software)

The error message I am getting is:

***** Disocnnected.
Computer'******' (Host"'192.168.0.3' Port:0)
Unable to connect to Server.
Make sure the computer is running RemoterFusion, and that it's not asleep.

(NB It is running the software and its not asleep)

Many thanks.

I'm really, really sorry about the late reply. We were moving (across states) for the most part of June. We're finally settled, and I promise support requests from the forum will start getting prompt attention again!

About your question, it seems your router is not mapping the port correctly (hence the port 0 message). Could it be your router doesn't support UPnP or NAT-PMP? You can always manually configure the router to port forward the correct ports, and set RemoterFusion to Manual mode (Advanced - Manual).

Sorry!!,
Raf.

Same problem here. OK with wifi, no with 3g. I have an airport extreme that gets my ip from a cable modem. I set up the iOS app to use my ip from the cable modem. I am also using Back to my Mac. With port mapping on the airport extreme I have
Public UDP Port 9
Public TCP Port 9
Private IP Address 10.0.1.20
Private UDP Port 9
Private RCP Port 9
Doesn't work.
