Can see macbook screen but can't control it

Hi,
Just looked through the forums and couldn't find a solution.

I can connect to my macbook with my iPhone. I can see the screen and everything that I'm doing on the screen. I just can't control it from the iPhone. I can bring up the keyboard or click with remoter, it just doesn't respond on the macbook.
Is there a setting I need to change?

Thanks in advance!

Remoter does have a view-only mode. Make sure you're not using it. Tap the third-button from the top-right, and if the option "Exit View-Only" is available, tap that to exit View-Only mode. Then edit your session, to disable "view-only" mode on startup.
Otherwise, check your Mac settings:
-Under System Preferences, Sharing. If you're using Remote Management, select it, then click on "Options...", and make sure you have the option to "Control" enabled.

Hope this helps!,
Raf.

Thanks Raf,
I checked that I wasn't in view only mode. I have also got my settings on my mac with 'anyone may request permission to control screen' checked. Have also tried checking 'VNC viewers may control screen with password' After checking this though remotervnc doesn't ask to put a password in. Is there anything else I'm missing? Still can't get it to control.

I also use remoter to access the BMS work PC via VPN without any issues.

Can't think of anything else. It should work.
Maybe there's something out-of-whack in your session. Could you try creating a new session from scratch?
Maybe your Mac's VNC server is in a bad state, could you try rebooting your machine?

Not sure why its not working, tried creating a new session and restarting my mac. Don't think my server is in a bad state either, using VNC Viewer without any problems now. Thanks for your help though.

Could you try switching from Screen Sharing over to "Remote Management" in your Mac? I wonder if this will do the trick. It also gives you more granular control. Make sure you set it up to allow control.
Also, make sure you're using your Mac's username and passowrd in Remoter's VNC username and password fields.
