RemoterFusion crashing

Hi Raf,

I am not sure how to report this problem because RF 0.8.7 appears to unexpectedly wake my computer (Mac OS X 10.6.8 on a mid-2010 MBP 15") and then quit while I am away, so I am not sure exactly what is happening. This has occurred a couple of times in the past week. The computer is still running after the crash, although I had left it asleep and connected by ethernet overnight.

Thanks for any insight or help.

Shlen

Please try 0.8.8 and let me know if it helps.

Ok, so what I have noticed is that even with version 0.8.8 installed, when I wake from sleep the RemoterFusion menubar icon sometimes spontaneously disappears (and presumably the application quits). I can nevertheless reconnect to my computer from the Remoter VNC app anyway using the RemoterFusion profile I have set up. I am not sure whether I am still able to connect because I have screen sharing and remote login enabled in the sharing panel of my Mac's system preferences, or whether RemoterFusion is still running somehow. I checked Activity Monitor, and RemoterFusion did not seem to be running after its menubar item disappeared.

No, if the menubar icon goes away, it means RemoterFusion has crashed. Please send me the crash report (you can find it under your home directory ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports)

to support AT remoterlabs DOT com

Thanks!,
Raf.

PS: The computer continues to connect because the router keeps the forwarding active for a while. But none of RemoterFusion features will work at this point (like multi-monitor support, audio redirection, etc)

Hi Raf,

Such a diagnostic report does not reside where you pointed me. Perhaps the app is quitting rather than crashing and so not leaving a diagnostic trail? I am not sure.

In any case, no matter how much time passes after RemoterFusion quits, I can still log in to my computer. I suppose this is because I am set up to log in without RemoterFusion, simply using Mac's screen sharing and remote login features, though not certain. I think I set this up for Remoter VNC before I bought RemoterFusion.

Hi Shlen,

Make sure you're looking in the Library directory in your home directory, and not the one at the root of the drive.
Not: /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
Yes: /User/username/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

Thanks,

Raf.
