Pointer/Mouse Not Responding

Postby amz2427 » Sat Nov 12, 2011 9:29 am

Hi,

For some time now the pointer is not responding on the screen when it is being moved on my iPhone. It used to work fine.... I can see the pointer moving on the iPhone, but not on my Laptop Screen. I cannot enter anything on the keyboard either, only see whats on the Laptop Screen. Also, I think I'v seen some posts about using remoter via 3G.. Can you help me to set this up also please?

Kind Regards,

Basics

remoter version : 3.2
device remoter is installed on : iPhone 4
iOS version: iOS 5

session type: VNC/ScreenSharing
server specifics: Windows 7 32bit
connection: LAN... I think?

What probably happened is that you have UltraVNC configured to not accept input.
The option is called "Disable Viewers Inputs". Make sure it's not checked.

Great to hear that!
Regarding on how to connect from the internet (outside of your LAN). Please search the forums, this question has been answered multiple times.
Basically, you will have to set up your router at home to route incoming connections to port 5900 to your computer. The setup is called "Port forwarding".

Hope this helps,
Raf.
