Hello,
I'm using the product to connect to our MAC and Windows Server. It works great on the MAC but on the Windows box it will connect but I cannot execute a mouse click. I can move the mouse but not click. It also the VNC server service seems to have problems maintaining the password and the user group. I tried setting up the VNC service on a windows laptop with no problem.

The windows box config is
Dual core 64bit
Running windows server 64bit
2gb of ram

The client is a iPad

ThNk you any help would be awesome.

Can you please give me the details of the Windows VNC server? UltraVNC/TightVNC? Version?

Thanks!,

Raf.

I'll attempt to recreate locally. Thanks for the details.
Is right clicking working? Are you doing direct interface or via virtual trackpad? Remoter 1.7, right?

Thanks,

Raf

I'm using direct. I tried playing with it a little more today and noticed that no input works. No mouse or keyboard stroke. I can see the screen remotely and any data being updated on the remote computer. If I use the mouse on the remote computer the client updates but can not take control the mouse or keyboard.

Thanks for your help

And the server is not set to view only mode, correct?
Any reason you're using RealVNC, versus the tightvnc server or ultraVNC?

I will try to recreate your problem locally later today.

Raf.

Correct the server is not in view only. As far as the service I follows the link in the iPad app help screen. Do you recommend a differnt server service, i can change it with no problems.

Yes! The ones I recommend are ultravnc and tightvnc. (these are the ones I list in Remoter's help as well)
Uvnc.com

Please let me know if you have any more problems!,

Raf

I unloaded the ultravnc and loaded the tightvnc and to worked great, I then went and tried the ultra on another server and it failed with the same issue...tried the tightvnc and it work great on the second server, it appears the ultravnc has issues with windows server 2008....the app rocks for the iPad....thanks for all your help
