Bit of a strange problem here. I've been using Remoter perfectly fine for a few months now (excellent app btw). I'm running version 2.4.1.

I regularly connect to two different Macs running snow leopard from both my iPad and iPhone.

In the last couple of days I've found that I can't perform a right-click action from either device, regardless of which Mac I'm connected to. I use the normal trackpad setting but tapping in the bottom right now simply performs a left-click. I've restored the settings to the default but still have the problem. Even using the right-click toggle button doesn't help me.

Nothing has changed on the Macs. However, I have recently updated iOS on both devices to 4.3.4 so I'm not sure if that has caused the problem.

Any ideas?

Could it be that you set the Left-handed mode on inside Remoter Config?

I did check through the settings and had even reverted them to the defaults on both devices but no joy. Tapping either in the bottom left or bottom right of the trackpad performs a left click.

I've never heard of a problem like this. This is very strange. Can you right click at all on those machines (I mean without Remoter -- what about via Screen Sharing without Remoter)?

I can right-click on both macs ok, directly and via screen sharing.

No-one has access to the two macs except me so I'm happy that nothing has changed on either machine.

Like I say, I did update both the iPad and iPhone to iOS 4.3.4 and then I noticed the inability to do a right-click in remoter. I've updated to 4.3.5 today and deleted/reinstalled remoter but still have the problem.

Unfortunately this has rendered remoter unusable for me, after many months of it working perfectly ok.

I am having the same problem here. No right-clicking possible on the Mac anymore. I use Mac OSX 10.6.8
Apple has put through some updates recently in order to make the system ready for the optional Lion-update.
Maybe that could be the cause.
Hopefully Remoter VNC can be updated so it works again.

I too have the same problem not being able to right-click when using Remoter.

I am connecting to OS X Snow Leopard Server 10.6.8 and for me right-click stopped working when I installed the "Remote Desktop Admin Update 3.5" released by Apple around the time of launch of Lion.

Well spotted - that's the cause of the problem.

I guess my definition of nothing had changed on the macs meant that I hadn't changed any settings or preferences - sorry! The software updates had been installed.

I've managed to verify this today on another mac. Checked that right-click worked ok in remoter - it did. Performed a software update to install "Remote Desktop Client Update 3.5.1" and retried remoter - the right-click no longer works.

Very interesting. So the update to Snow Leopard broke right-clicking! Right clicking works correctly on Lion.
I have a Snow Leopard machine I have not updated, I'll try to recreate this right now.

I can confirm that this problem does indeed happen. I will implement a work-around for Remoter 2.6.

In the mean-time, please use use control+click for "right-clicking" on Snow Leopard. (The Control button is found on the special keys toolbar that accompanies the keyboard).
