Trying to remote 2 laptop thru wan

I'm trying to setup 2 laptop to be able to remote them. I have 2 MacBook Pro and use a TimeCapsule router. I've setup 2 different domain name with dyndns (thru the same account). I do everything that is stated in your guide and I'm only able to access the first one that I've setup. Even when I use the domain created for the second laptop. Surely I'm doing something wrong somewhere. Do you have any hint ? Thanks. Rox

Hi Roxlem,

Because you have two different laptops, you need to do things a bit different. But it can be done!

What you need to do is add a second port forward in your router (your TimeCapsule):

-Keep the one you have (that is, port forward: from port 5900 to port 5900 on macbookpro1's IP)
-Add a second one, and use a different source port. For instance, from port 5901 to port 5900 on macbookpro2's IP.

In Remoter, use port 5901 to access the second macbook pro.

Hope this helps,

Raf.

Is it possible to have a wireless wan card from cingular hacked into and used by an outside user? my friend thinks that someone has gained access to his wireless card and possibly into his computer. He does not have any close neighbors.
