If your iPad is on your work VPN correctly, then the connection from Remoter to a host within the VPN is transparent and handled by your VPN; just enter the hostname or IP address of the machine you need to connect to in Remoter's settings.

I will try to help you with Remoter, but giving you support on your VPN is outside of what I can do (for that contact your IT department).
Make sure the hostname/IP address you're entering into Remoter is the internal (to the VPN) hostname/IP.
You can make sure the computer is set up correctly by accessing the VPN from another computer, and from a terminal (cmd in windows) type:
Code: Select all
telnet hostnameOrIPofTheMachineRunningVNCBehindTheVPN 5900

You will see something similar to this:
Code: Select all
$ telnet localhost 5900
Trying ::1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
RFB 003.889

if all is well.

I can confirm Remoter works fine over Cisco VPN. A few things to watch out for:

1. Confirm Vnc is installed on the server you are accessing and test it first from inside your network without using VPN.

2. Use IP address of the server, not server name. DNS usually doesn't play well over VPN.

3. Confirm the server ip you are trying to connect is not in the sane ip subnet range of the wifi network your iPad/iPhone is connected on. Eg work server on 192.168.0.x and your home network is also 192.168.0.x - you may be able to route your data to the work server pending the VPN configuration.

Assuming you have all that sorted, Remoter works well over Cisco VPN. :D
