Fit Width versus Fit Height

When using my iPad3 and Remoter VNC ver 3.8.5, I have noticed that, after launching my User Profile on the Mac OS X log in screen, I get a screen image on the iPad that appears to default to the "Fit Height" setting (see attachment for an example). But, the "Fit Height" setting slightly truncates the left and right sides of the image and I always have to "Fit Width" to resolve this problem. Is there a way to make "Fit Width" a default setting?
