Mapping alternate port, other than 22

Postby gtdave » Fri Jun 10, 2011 5:14 pm

I use a different port that is forwarded to port 22 on my SSH server--let's call it port 5000 for name's sake. I found in another message in this support forum to enter the SSH Hostname field in the following format: hostname:-5000 I've tried it that way, and hostname:5000, and hostname -p 5000 to no avail. I get an not able to connect message that says I had specified Port 22 each time.

I'd appreciate any guidance!

To select an alternate port, you need to tap on "Advanced Settings", and then scroll down, under Advanced, there is a "SSH Port" field, where you can specify an arbitrary port number.
