SSH Key Authentication

Excited about the new updates for version 2.0, and just bought the SSH add-on, but I find myself unable to use it as all our SSH services use key authentication. Is this a hidden feature, or is it just missing?

It would be great to be able to upload private keys to Remoter via iTunes and select them. As a first version, it would even be fine to have to use putty-keygen to convert them from ssh keys first, as long as it works in the end!

A lot of web hosts, and Amazon EC2, insist on key authentication, so I imagine this will be a popular request.

Yes!, this is a planned feature that WILL be added in 2.1. But is not part of 2.0.

I hope 2.1 is not that far away. I would love this feature too. I have configured my home router to only accept ssh keys and would prefer to keep it that way as I think it is more secure.

Not far at all!. Now that version 2.01 has been submitted; all work is going into 2.1. And the wait will never be as long as it was for 2.0. 2.0 was just too big an update.
2.1 should be out in hopefully less than a month. But you can track it here:

SSH Key authentication was released today in Remoter 2.02. See the details here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=223

Key generation will be added in 2.1. For now, you can generate the key pair on your computer.
