Small format display support

I just got started with the iPhone app, and like it. Thanks for supporting 8 bpp displays.

Would it be possible to support smaller format embedded "lightweight" VNC servers? I'm trying to display a sub-vga screen from a memory limited server.

The one I am using is uVNC, which is part of the Contiki OS:

Does this look like a feature that could be added to the next version? It seems so close now, since 8 bpp is supported. Can the client ask the host what the display format is? Could it be provided from a drop down menu?

I'll look into this for the next release. Version 2.0 already went to Apple for approval. It's already in the trac system: http://trac.rafsoftware.com/index.fcgi/ticket/9

OK, thanks! That addition will make the app much more appealing to the embedded market that wants to use VNC.

Is there a plan to add the small format display to Remoter? I've been following the releases, and I don't see that documented. On the other hand I have not tried using a small format VNC window on the iPhone recently.
