Wake on LAN command on gateway

Hi,
I use RDP and VNC via SSH a lot and it would be very helpful if the WOL feature had an option to run a command on the gateway machine to send the WOL packet.

ie I have a 'wol' command which I run like so..
wol -i 192.168.100.255 xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
