VNC from Mac to Linux box

HI,
I have remoter v.1.0.2 from the app store installed on a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.7.2. I have set up (LAN to LAN) a VNC connection to a linux box. I am trying to use a web based application on the server, but something keeps breaking. When I have used the sever application a couple of minutes, it kind of freezes - will open new Firefox windows, but the application is hung. I get the message "waiting for localhost", and sometimes when this happens, I also loose the ability to transmit keystrokes.
I would like to get this working so I can then set up a VNC over SSH connection.
Your help appreciated.
KC

Hi,

I replied to your email. Can you help me recreate this? What is the VNC server you use? OS version?

Thanks,
Raf.

I think I am seeing the same thing. I am using TightVNC server 1.3.10 on Slackware 13.37, and I am also doing VNC over SSH. Occasionally, my screen will hang, and I cannot press any keys. If I press Ctrl-C several times, then it will break out of whatever is stuck, and then I can resume typing.
